The story began with a magic called Searing which was summoned and used by the Charr. One day, there were many fireballs falling from the sky, and at the same time, there is a huge crystal falling with fire fall. All of these were caused by the Searing summoned by the Charr. In this way, the beautiful Ascalon continent turned into a barren land in the fire rain. Adelbern, the old king of Ascalon believed that for the protection of North Castle, as well as the strong resistance from the people, they could repel the Charr legions. However, the young prince Rurik didn’t think so, he believe that leading an army with some Guild Wars 2 gold to counterattack the Charr legions was the only way to relieve the crisis of the war，and give this country some hope.
Obviously, the idea of the old king was soon proved wrong; this point can be got by players when they receive the task of “North Castle" on their way to earn Guild Wars 2 gold in this game. At this time, the Charr assembled a large-scale army to invade Ascalon. The army of Ascalon fell into panic when they saw the sudden enemy army; they had to retreat to the Fort Ranik temporarily. In the game, with the players’ help, the Charr legion was repulsed temporarily.
The Charr legion also took away many captives when they were retreating, the prince Rurik decided to lead a troop to rescue those captives. When they flee away from the Charr, the prince found the legendary horn- Stormcaller. With this powerful weapon which worth much Guild Wars 2 gold, there would be more odds on defeating the Charr legion. The prince led the army as well as the rescued capitives rushed back to the capital Ryan, then they found the Charr legion were burining and looting the whole city. With the powerful magic of the Stormcaller, the players could stop the massacre set from the Charr, and save the entire city temporarily.
In the task “Islands of Fire Ring", the players could get through the customspass with the help from the dwarves, and get to the “devil mouth of the volcano”, at the end of this task, the players could get into the “Kema Eliya's door” and destroyed the seal, in order to get into the position of Kema Eliya to make some Guild Wars 2 gold.
