I actually generally like questing...but I have leveled so many alts at
this point that some zones just really start to drag. I finally broke down and
bought two heirloom pieces in some WOW
gold for my latest new alt (which I generally hate doing because part of
the fun for me is seeing what each wacky new gearset looks like while leveling).
It depends what you like. I think questing can be the fastest. Depending on how
well you know the areas and how fast you quest. Some people (myself included)
get distracted and tab out to chat or post on here. Also, if you are a
healer/tank it could be faster to do dungeons- at least until 86. I hear the XP
slows down after that. Questing in Pandaria for me is very slow and monotonous.
I'd rather do a dailies and pet battles or archeology.
I still find dungeon levelling to be the fastest up to level 80. It's about
on par with questing for 80-85, then definitely questing from 85-90. I don't
like pet battle, and haven't tried levelling with PvP. I levelled my priest from
85 barely doing any quests. I planned to lvl via pvp and going to buy WOW gold for it, but at the time
(probably mid 5.0 time, I was getting about 1% of a lvl per BG. That felt way
too low so I swapped to dungeons and archeology, with pet battles thrown in
after that gave exp. I find with rested exp, you get around 10% of a level from
a dungeon. The dungeon quests give a little more the first time. I
I did old world archaeology while waiting in the queue, the old world stuff
was giving more exp than the Pandaria stuff at the time (may have been changed)
and I can fly in old world. Pet battles give about 1% per battle, and you can
do pet battles while you're out doing archaeology. I'd say questing is faster,
and I could have lvled my priest faster if I'd done some questing and earned
some WOW gold in this game, but I wanted to give questing a miss for a
change. It puts you behind on reps, but the farm lets you catch up slowly.
Pretty much all of my warriors have worn the hideous Light Mail set available
from vendors at level 5. If you've been getting get by on quest gear, it's a big
step up. I know this has been asked a dozen times, but questing is definitely
the fastest way to level at the moment, right? Does this apply to all zones, or
does it differ between different expac areas?
