I run around in my hunter solo
gear, unless I run a dungeon or raid, then it’s the best I have. I spend
probably 80% of my playing running in some old some new pieces, as long as my
pet can keep aggro and keep alot of healing and we live. That is what I do
my stuff in and how I earn my WOW gold. Ive
been doing my mail or checking the AH, and it is incredible the amount of
people whispering why I have a combo of old and new gear.
Does it really matter what
I ware to anyone? As long as I am not in a 90's group sporting
BC gear, I don’t see why it would worry anyone. I can
understand ppl whisp you... it is not that they are worrying but it is strange
considering if you only want the look you could just transmog and still have
better stats to whatever you do. Unless you want it to be a little bit harder
anyway, it is your choice but it is still strange.
I have never stopped and stared
at the guy AFK'ing on the bank steps. I could not tell you what T14 looks like
for any class. To me, gear is what allows me to get into new dungeons, solo old
raids that I couldn't before, or just finish my dailies to earn WOW gold
more quickly. I have hugs and cookies, and gear lets me share those with my
guild when the nasties just want to hurt them. The only piece of gear I have
any attachment to is Benediction, and it kills me that I haven't seen a staff
drop yet in Pandaria. I enjoy the puzzle of gemming and reforging, but a
perfect WoW for me wouldn't have gear. I enjoy the game enough that I
don't need carrots on sticks.
I gear up til I can do what is
required and then I stop. I don't care about having my 4 piece bonus, and most
tier sets I don't particularly like (warlock sets are mostly ugly imo). If I
fretted about getting best in slot, I'd spent most tiers disappointed. I'm not
motivated by gear, and seeing others in spiffy gear doesn't motivate me. I only
inspect people if I find what they have on is interesting to look at.
It's nice to be able to see that a person is a heroic level raider by the
tags on their gear, but it doesn't make me want what they have and how much WOW
gold they owned, I simply admire and move on.
