When dreadful gear becomes crafted gear in 5.2, how will the professions
learn them? If you have the current piece (say leather spell belt), would you
get the dreadful leather spell belt automatically in your craft window? Will I
need more SOH and more WOW gold?
I didn't mean to imply that heroic raiders are jerks, just that that's a
worst case scenario and doesn't sound like much fun. This is mentioned above,
but the current system offers satchels for the role that's most needed at that
moment. Usually tanks, sometimes healers. I know many people who would queue as
tank and/or healer anyway (because those roles are fun!), but I think more
players would choose to queue as DPS if they could get a satchel as such.
This would increase queue times not just for players genuinely trying to
gear up in heroics, but for pretty much everyone.Rogues and Hunters would like
to speak to you about aggro control... Also, maybe satchels are only awarded
once a day to those who overgear the content? I think that would keep it from
being a massive wave of highly geared dps stomping all over 5mans.
In cata, and from reading the PvP changes post, it seemed indicative to me
that if you have a 450 blue Contenders piece right now in your profession tab,
it will be changed to the equivalent 458 dreadful piece with no new mats needed.
Certainly though, it’s the ptr and everything is subject to change. Vorken5
Beyond that, I don't think having a Heroic raid geared DPS in a five-man dungeon
ripping aggro off of the new tank and berating the just-hit-90 healer and other
DPS while rushing along all for the sake of a satchel is really an
ideal situation.
In the past expansions and patches, I have always saved up my honor/justice
points right before a patch hits so I have the maximum amount of points to
upgrade to the previous Valor/Conquest gear. With the addition of the upgrade
system, is this still a wise thing or should I spend all my points on the
upgrade feature for my gear?
